Jesus Christ - Lord of the Church, Light of the World

Home

The congregation of Greenwell Street belongs to the Presbyterian Church in Ireland, a denomination of Reformed heritage with nearly 500 congregations. It has its origin in the Revival of 1859 and the current meeting house was built in 1970. (History 1869-1969)  (See photos for old pictures.)

The central focus of our Worship is through the Sunday Services. There is a tradition of a Reformed, Evangelical ministry. Both services are based around the exposition of God’s Word and are recorded for the benefit of shut ins.

The praise is led by a choir and praise group under the direction of our organist/pianist and a sensitive balance is sought between traditional and modern in the musical life of the fellowship. The words of the items of praise are projected on a large screen and printed versions are available for those with sight problems.

Our Aim:

To promote the worship of God and build a congregation of believers in the Lord Jesus Christ.
